The Family: Glimmers of Redemption

By the grace of God, the Spanish-speaking Church is experiencing remarkable growth in its grasp of sound doctrine and biblical theology. Yet, Scripture compels us not merely to increase in knowledge but to be transformed by the truth, conforming our lives to the image of our Lord Jesus Christ. Sound doctrine must produce godly lives. For this reason, we have called upon our Spanish-speaking friends—both church members and leaders—to gather with us September 11–12 for our annual Spanish Expositors Conference (Conferencia Expositores). This year’s theme is “The Family: Glimmers of Redemption.” Our speakers—including Nathan Busenitz, Luis Contreras, Miguel Núñez, Sugel Michelén, Alex Montoya, Homero González, and others—are men who have faithfully proclaimed and modeled godliness for decades.

We ask for your prayers for the more than 1,600 Spanish-speaking attendees, as well as for the volunteers who will be serving them. Please also pray for our speakers as they diligently prepare their messages. As Pastor John MacArthur once said, “The family is high on God’s list of priorities.” It is our desire that through this conference, the Lord will be magnified as His church gains a deeper understanding of the necessity, the means, and the manner of building families for the kingdom.

Another way you can support this conference is by providing a scholarship. Many Spanish-speaking church leaders and members desire to attend but lack the financial means to do so. If you are moved to support an attendee in this way, you may contribute online or by visiting our table by the Scholar’s Desk.

We encourage Spanish-speaking members of our congregation to register for the conference at our table outside the Chapel, or to join us via livestream at conferenciaexpositores.org.
