The Resurrection of the Lord Jesus is the cornerstone of the Christian faith and the centerpiece of redemptive history. Because our Savior lives, our preaching and our hope are not in vain (1 Cor. 15:14, 20). The truth of the Resurrection transcends all worldly wisdom and manmade philosophies and advances the kingdom of God, even against the gates of hell (Matt. 16:18). The ministry entrusted to us is profoundly precious and powerful, as we proclaim the reign of our risen Savior from Los Angeles to the ends of the earth.

The work of this ministry is sustained by the faithful service of over three hundred staff members who serve sacrificially to shepherd, disciple, and equip the body of Christ. This includes our pastoral staff, who devote themselves to preaching and shepherding, and the many teams that facilitate ministry through facilities maintenance, IT, accounting, outreach, A/V production, HR, security, Spanish ministry, Grace Academy, and much more. Every aspect of church life—from Sunday worship to midweek discipleship—depends on these efforts, all of which are made possible through the faithful giving of the congregation.

Paul commended the Macedonians because they “first gave themselves to the Lord and then to us by the will of God” (2 Cor. 8:5). Their generosity was a direct overflow of their devotion to Christ. That same principle remains true today: When our hearts are wholly given to the Lord, our giving becomes a joyful act of worship. It is not merely an obligation but a privilege—an opportunity to invest in the advancement of the gospel and the eternal work of Christ’s church.

I am confident in the Lord’s continued provision for our church and that His purposes will be accomplished in and through each one of you. As we celebrate the glory of the Resurrection in this season, I invite you to consider prayerfully how you might support our church’s needs, trusting the Lord to advance His kingdom as we proclaim the excellencies of Christ.
At this moment in history, we have been given an unparalleled opportunity to participate in gospel ministry. Like the Philippians, who seized the moment to support Paul’s evangelistic efforts, we too must not miss the opportunity to invest in that which lasts for eternity. My prayer for you is that your love for the Lord would overflow in your generosity, as you give joyfully and sacrificially to the work He is doing through our church.

Grateful for your faithful generosity,

John MacArthur
