This week, June 17–20, we will be hosting over 1,200 children for Vacation Bible School. For the past nine years, it has been the privilege of our church to participate in the Great Commission by sharing the gospel with the children of our church and community in this way. This week provides an incredible opportunity for our church to proclaim God’s truth and to exemplify the love that our Savior has for children.

This year at VBS, the kids will discover the goodness of their Creator, and how He went to the greatest lengths to rescue and restore His people through His Son, Jesus Christ. They will learn that what was originally made perfect is now broken and in need of rescuing and that, in His kindness, God promised to send a Savior! They will then discover that it was by God’s grace and love that He sent this Savior, His Son Jesus Christ, to save sinners—and that Christ accomplished this by dying on a cross and rising from the grave. Our theme, “God’s Good Garden,” focuses on this truth and our prayer is that the children who join us will be forever impacted by learning about the divine grace of God’s redemption of His people.

We are so excited to see how the Lord works this year! As the week of VBS approaches, we invite you to join us in prayer for the children who are hearing the gospel, their families, and the hundreds of members of our church who will be serving. Pray that the gospel of Jesus Christ would be communicated clearly and that hearts would be receptive to God’s saving truth!

We invite all families to join us Sunday, June 22, for a Family Concert and Plaza Fellowship as we conclude our VBS week.
