NTS 103 Surveying Romans: The Righteous shall live by Faith
Throughout history, the book of Romans has significantly contributed to the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. As the primary placement in the canon of Scripture, Romans lays the foundation for the books that follow. Paul’s exposition of the gospel in Romans emphasizes the righteousness that comes from God, the glorious truth that God justifies guilty sinners through faith in Christ alone. The impact of Romans on the world attests to its life-changing and history-shaping message: “the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Rom 1:16).
In this survey class, students will gain a deep understanding of the major themes, places, characters, and divine messages of the New Testament books.
